SANTA ANA — November 2, 2026. Santa Ana’s November community newsletter says residents receiving curbside trash service are entitled to four no-cost large-item pickups per year, with up to four approved items per collection.
How residents arrange pickup
The city directs customers to Republic Services at 657-467-6220 for bulky collection service. An advance reservation should be confirmed with the hauler before anything is moved into a public right-of-way.
Different from special drop-off days
Santa Ana also organizes periodic community bulky-item drop-off days at parks. Those events have different eligibility, vehicle and hazardous-waste rules from the regular household pickup program.
A reminder about dangerous waste
Paint, automotive fluids, pesticides, batteries and other hazardous materials require a proper Orange County household hazardous waste program. A service described as a free bulky pickup does not mean all waste is accepted.
