SANTA ANA, California — November 4, 2026. Preliminary City Council results in Santa Ana show separate contests developing in Wards 2 and 6 after the November 3 general election.

Ward 2

Benjamin Vazquez led Selica Diaz with 3,608 votes (72.1%) to 1,394 votes (27.9%), according to the overnight county-results compilation displayed by The Ballot Book. This margin is based on votes processed and reported so far.

Ward 6

Isuri Ramos led Giovanni Chavez with 2,929 votes (53.5%) to 2,550 (46.5%). The difference was 379 votes at that reporting snapshot, substantially narrower than the reported Ward 2 gap.

Separate races, separate local representation

These are ward-specific elections: residents in Ward 2 and Ward 6 vote for different seats, and the results should not be combined into a single citywide council percentage. Santa Ana is also voting on the mayor’s office and other local questions, which are distinct contests.

All totals are unofficial. County election officials will continue processing ballots and certifying results. The reported leads are not final declarations of victory.
